Choose two poems or song lyrics
1) How are they connected in terms of theme, subject matter and style
2) Write a thesis and an intro paragraph connecting the above ideas
Remember to bring in examples from the text
Remember to reference the text directly
Remember to include your arguments and summary in your paragraph
Leave "I think, I feel, in my opinion" etc out of your thesis
Try to use the active instead of the passive voice (I broke the window, vs the window was broken)
