2) One or two supporting texts-- examples: a short story (like Lamb to the Slaughter)
a poem (like Still I Rise)
a painting
a piece of graffiti
a photo
a tv show
a movie
3) A thesis that connects and unifies your texts AND contains a new idea or insight that you intend to prove in your essay
